LACC TRUST FUND
LACC has
been
from time to time
experiencing difficulties in securing funds on
project basis from the funding agencies. Because of
limited resources made available to it, LACC has also
not been able to save the funds. The 'project-tied
funds' are all spent on the project itself. Thus,
‘self-sustainability’ is a constant problem. It also
recognises that it is not possible for the funding
agencies to grant funds on a regular basis, all the
time. It thus, established a trust fund named as ‘LACC
Trust
Fund’ to implement various programmes on women's
empowerment, promotion and protection of women's and
child rights, ending violence against women, publication
and training purposes on self-sustainability basis.
The LACC
Trust Fund was established with the contribution of a
well-wisher of LACC. Ms. Bhagawati Kakshapati
contributed Nepali Rupees (NRS) one hundred thousand
towards the establishment of the Trust Fund in support
of LACC’s activities. LACC deposited another NRS one
hundred thousand in the Trust Fund account.
The fund will be kept in a
fixed deposit account in the bank. The interests accrued
from the fixed deposit account will be used to finance
important programmes of LACC. LACC will use only the
interest accrued from the fixed deposit account for
fighting the cases of poor and needy women and children
victims of violence, rape, trafficking, exploitation,
giving scholarship to the poor and needy female law
students and for the promotion and protection of women's
rights.
The trust fund will help
LACC to implement its programmes aimed at stopping
violence against women, women's empowerment, promotion
and protection of women's and child rights and for
publication and training purposes on
self-sustainability basis. It will also eliminate the
uncertainty of asking/receiving money every
time a project is completed
